We are looking for an experienced and skilled Charcoal Grill Chef & Doner Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should be able to prepare high-quality grilled meats and manage the doner station with expertise, consistency, and attention to hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meats on a charcoal grill (kebabs, chicken, beef, skewers, etc.)
- Slice and maintain doner (shawarma) with proper technique and consistency
- Marinate meats following the restaurant's recipes and standards
- Ensure proper cooking temperatures and high food quality at all times
- Set up and maintain the grill and doner station for daily service
- Monitor inventory of meats, marinades, and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill area and comply with food safety guidelines
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure fast and efficient service
- Control cooking times to avoid delays in orders
- Assist in training junior staff if required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a charcoal grill chef and/or doner chef
- Strong knowledge of meat grilling techniques and doner slicing
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management and attention to detail
- Reliability, cleanliness, and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent taste and quality
Language Requirements
Preferred languages: English or French, and Arabic is considered a strong asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.10-$27.04 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
