Cook - Childcare

Skilled Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest quality of food preparation. This will be for 70 children at the childcare centre.

*Duties*

• Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards

• Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Assist in bringing, receiving and storing food deliveries

• Collaborate with program staff to maintain a clean and organized kitchen area

*Qualifications*

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar environment

• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$30.96 per hour

Experience:

• Food handling: 1 year (preferred)
