Therapeutic Support/Youth Worker

Come be part of our growing team working with Children and Youth in a residential setting.

You would be responsible for supporting children and youth to become independent by teaching them life skills, self regulation skills as well as teaching proper hygiene.

You would be expected to follow skill development programs, safety plans as well as behaviour plans.

You would be expected to provide a supportive, therapeutic, caring environment while having clear boundaries and a professional attitude and work ethic.

You would be trained in ABA (applied behaviour analysis) strategies and individualized programing developed by our Behaviour Consultants.

Must have:

• Diploma or degree in a child/youth-related/care field. Those with at least a year of education in a child/youth- related/care field will be considered.
• Valid class 5 BC Driver's License and clean driver's abstract (Required). Those with a "N" and are close to taking their test for their full license will be considered. International licenses do not qualify.
• Clean criminal record
• Minimum of 1-year experience working with Children or youth in a workplace environment
• Be fluent in English and have good enunciation
• Must take RBT online course as a condition of employment prior to employment or within the first 3 months.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $27.54 per hour
