Entuitive is looking for a Junior Structural Technologist that will be involved in small and medium structural projects and assist in maintaining a high level of service for the Special Projects and Restoration practice at Entuitive. This position will primarily be responsible for structural BIM modelling and project coordination for existing buildings projects in construction. You will be working collaboratively with the project team from initial evaluation through to construction completion. We are passionate about our work and the talented individuals that get to deliver complex projects on a regular basis.
What will you do?
- Structural BIM modelling and project coordination. Working in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer and other members of the design team to complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish.
- In our team environment, as workload requires, assist other Project BIM Technologists in completing work for their project deadlines.
- Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for structural projects, including managing specific files and directories.
- Provide support in creation of standards and methods to further the strategic development of relevant BIM technologies.
- Working with the project team from initial evaluation through design to construction completion
- Attendance at construction progress meetings
- Participate in the delivery of a consistently high level of service
What do you need to succeed?
- An applicable degree or diploma in architectural or engineering technology.
- Educational or work experience in drafting and designing.
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as current versions of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Hands on construction experience and/or work with existing facilities is considered an asset
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and deliverables on an ongoing basis
- Working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete, steel, wood and masonry
- Interest in applying new technology to support project processes
