Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our restaurant operations, particularly during busy service periods, including banquets and catering events.

Duties

• Efficiently wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including bussing tables and helping cooks with basic culinary tasks.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Support the kitchen staff during peak hours by providing assistance in various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds).
