Work Arrangement Note:

  • Required to work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote initially.
  • May change to 2 days onsite / 3 days remote or fully WFH depending on agency direction.
  • Candidates must currently reside in Indiana to qualify.
  • Post-selection requirements include onsite background check and security training.

Job Description

The Mid-Level Project Manager will manage, plan, execute, monitor, and control medium to large IT projects. This role requires close collaboration with internal divisions to deliver high-quality, timely project implementations and ensure successful business adoption.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage medium to large-scale projects.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with CSB-IT staff, county/agency teams, and vendors.
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, meeting agendas/minutes, risk and issue logs, and lessons learned documentation.
  • Manage projects in alignment with approved governance policies and procedures.
  • Use the Atlassian tool suite to track tasks, milestones, and deliverables; identify variances and escalate corrective actions to the PMO Manager.
  • Schedule, prepare, and facilitate project meetings.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders; escalate issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and document management strategies.
  • Support team productivity and project portfolio maintenance.
  • Assist with updates to governance manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the PMO Manager to define performance expectations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 2+ years managing large, complex multi-year projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Salesforce technology.
  • Strong understanding of PMBOK methodologies: cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, resource management, change control.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile project management and IT governance methodologies.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and solution analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across business groups.
  • Preferred experience:
  • IV-D / Child Support Enforcement domain knowledge
  • State government experience
  • Preferred certifications:
  • PMP
  • Agile Certification
  • Scrum Master Certification

Supervisory Details

Reports to the Director of IT PMO. Receives guidance from senior business and technical managers. May provide guidance to junior Project Managers.

Responsibility Expectations

The employee operates within defined objectives and boundaries set by senior leadership. Unusual issues or deviations from standard practices are escalated at the employee's discretion. Work is reviewed for adherence to objectives and compliance with policy.
