We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Baltimore, Maryland facility. This role is pivotal to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations and overall logistics. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize stock management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of inventory control systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure precision.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and report findings.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to prevent damage and optimize space.
- Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and manage stock rotation.
- Develop and implement procedures to minimize inventory shrinkage and damage.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of required PPE.
- Train warehouse personnel on inventory control best practices and procedures.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics, supply chain principles, and inventory best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, typically up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
