Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks at the shipping and receiving docks.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order processing.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety guidelines within the facility.
- Properly secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial reasoning skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and warehouse safety standards.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
