Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Stack and organize merchandise in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate logs of material movements and assist with inventory control.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the required use of PPE.
- Ensure equipment is used responsibly to avoid damage to products, equipment, or the facility.
- Support inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Follow all logistics and shipping procedures for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of (Number) years of proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Current forklift certification or willingness to obtain one immediately.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate forklifts in various conditions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A proactive mindset towards safety and efficient logistics practices.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in a dynamic warehouse setting that may experience fluctuations in temperature. Physical demands include regular lifting and operation of heavy machinery. Safety is our top priority; therefore, the correct use of PPE and strict adherence to all safety protocols are mandatory for all logistics-related activities.
