We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. Your duties will include verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, accurately recording received items, and preparing them for internal distribution or storage. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be methodical, possess strong record-keeping skills, and understand the importance of Safety in all warehouse activities. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth receiving processes. We require adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE. This role involves some physical work, including Lifting and moving packages. Join a dynamic logistics company that values accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify contents of deliveries against invoices and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately enter received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and stage items for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
