We are actively seeking motivated Picker/Packers to join our essential logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this key role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them for shipment. Your day-to-day duties will involve using RF scanners or pick lists to locate products, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected, and preparing them for transit. Precision, speed, and a strong sense of responsibility are crucial for success. You will be working in a demanding but rewarding environment, contributing directly to our company's operational efficiency. Maintaining a safe and orderly workspace is a priority, and all employees are required to strictly follow safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds, and involves standing and walking for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and identify products based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners or pick sheets to navigate the warehouse and locate items.
- Verify product codes, descriptions, and quantities for order accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Meet or exceed established productivity targets and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced setting.
