As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. Maintaining a safe work environment is our top priority, so adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role involves significant physical activity, including regular lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds, and requires keen awareness of your surroundings to prevent accidents. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and unstack palletized materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Accurately record movement of materials and inventory data.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to strict safety standards in all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Support logistics team with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
