We are seeking a strong and dependable Material Handler to join our team in Provo, Utah. This role is fundamental to the efficient movement and organization of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, staging, and distributing materials throughout the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating pallet jacks, and ensuring that all materials are handled with care and accuracy. This position requires a strong focus on safety, and you must strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The physical demands of this role include frequent Lifting and moving of heavy objects. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, have a keen eye for detail, and possess a solid understanding of warehouse operations. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment is highly desirable. You will play a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall logistics workflow. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stage materials as they arrive.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure accurate counting and identification of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Support production and shipping departments with material needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a material handler or warehouse role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Experience in logistics operations is a plus.
