We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. This role is critical for the maintenance, operation, and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems, operates safely and effectively. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our Logistics operations. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, coupled with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety . We provide all necessary PPE and ensure a secure working environment. While this role may involve some physical tasks, including moderate Lifting , the primary focus is on technical proficiency and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance, mechanics, or a related technical field, with experience in a warehouse or industrial setting. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to Safety standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks to minimize downtime.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Properly use and maintain all assigned PPE .
- Document all maintenance and repair activities.
- Support the overall Logistics operations by ensuring equipment reliability.
- Perform other technical or manual tasks as required, including occasional Lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and Logistics systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety .
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and work in various warehouse conditions.
- Must be proficient in using required PPE .
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
