Are you an experienced Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening in Grand Rapids, Michigan! In this critical role, you will operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with shipping and receiving operations. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and organize inventory according to established procedures.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
