You are expected to strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and possess a thorough understanding of forklift operation best practices. You will work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations and contribute to a positive team environment. This position involves significant physical activity and the precise maneuvering of heavy loads. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to OSHA standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
