Join our fast-paced team as an Order Picker in San Jose, California! We are seeking reliable and efficient individuals to accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse using order lists or RF scanners, locate specified items, and ensure they are correctly staged for packing and distribution. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth operation of our Logistics department. A strong emphasis on workplace Safety and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use RF scanners or pick sheets to identify and retrieve items.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to your supervisor immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and replenishing.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and order fulfillment processes.
- Understanding of general Safety guidelines and the importance of using PPE .
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
