We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, utilizing advanced systems and processes. You will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage and improve efficiency. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics . A commitment to maintaining a Safety -conscious environment is paramount, ensuring all procedures adhere to company and regulatory standards. Your efforts will directly impact our operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate supply.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory, adhering to FIFO principles.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel involved in inventory handling.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turns, and other key metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management principles and Logistics .
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 40 lbs when necessary.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and general Safety procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in using PPE when required for specific tasks.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
