Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location is looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our fast-paced logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving and inspecting incoming materials, transporting them to appropriate storage locations, picking and staging materials for production or shipment, and assisting with inventory control. A strong understanding of material handling techniques and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. All employees are required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow stringent safety guidelines. The ideal candidate possesses physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment (training may be provided). Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and stage materials for production lines or outbound shipments.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
