Seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator for our facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This pivotal role oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, optimizing storage space, and ensuring timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments. A strong understanding of logistics principles and supply chain management is essential. You will also play a key role in implementing and enforcing safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure working environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record in warehouse management. This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and make sound decisions under pressure. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff activities.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage shipping schedules and carrier relations.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Train and mentor warehouse personnel.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and enforcing the use of PPE.
