Our rapidly expanding logistics company is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Tampa, Florida facility. This key role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and condition of our inventory. You will be instrumental in managing inventory levels, conducting audits, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing effective control measures. This position requires a sharp, analytical mind, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and damage.
- Monitor stock levels, identify trends, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper put-away, picking, and shipping processes.
- Analyze inventory data to identify potential issues and suggest solutions.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and proper handling of goods.
- Maintain an organized and efficient inventory storage system.
- Report on key inventory metrics and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and analytical tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Understanding of general warehouse and logistics operations.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
- Familiarity with Safety regulations and the importance of proper PPE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
