We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and improving inventory control processes. A solid understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential. The ideal candidate will be analytical, highly organized, and possess exceptional attention to detail. This position requires the ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Process inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics staff to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory audits and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform occasional manual tasks, including Lifting and moving inventory items up to 30 pounds.
- Contribute to optimizing the overall efficiency of our logistics operations through effective inventory management.
- Uphold high standards of Safety in all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Safety best practices and adherence to all guidelines.
