We are seeking a precise Order Picker to join our Los Angeles, California logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your duties will include reading order lists, locating items in the warehouse, picking them accurately, and staging them for packing and shipping. A strong focus on detail, efficiency, and warehouse Safety is crucial. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of performing tasks that involve frequent Lifting, standing, and walking. You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly and that orders are fulfilled with speed and accuracy. Understanding inventory procedures and maintaining a clean work area are key components of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or scan order information to accurately locate products in the warehouse.
- Retrieve specified items from inventory shelves and locations.
- Ensure accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping processes.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all PPE guidelines.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as required.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures meticulously.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of our logistics operations.
- Perform regular physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and fulfillment targets.
- Understand and follow all warehouse Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting, standing, and walking.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse layouts and inventory systems.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
