Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. You will also be expected to uphold strict safety standards, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure working environment. This role may involve some lifting and moving of packages. Experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative function is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping documents.
- Create shipping labels and documentation for various carriers.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that may involve lifting packages up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or administrative support.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and shipping procedures.
- Good communication skills.
