Their capabilities span concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Journeyman to join their team. In this key role, you will operate a variety of CNC machines to produce precision components that meet their high-quality standards. This position is ideal for a self-starter with a strong mechanical aptitude, precision-focused mindset, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and horizontal boring machines to produce precision components;
- Load tools, set up programs, and perform machine edits as necessary;
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications in both metric and imperial units;
- Conduct quality inspections and make adjustments to ensure optimal production output;
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work and equipment areas;
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines;
- Troubleshoot machining issues efficiently and participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
- Support prototype machining and small production runs as required.
Requirements
- CNC Machinist Journeyman certification (required);
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment;
- Proficient in CNC programming, especially Mastercam (toolpaths, optimization, G-code editing);
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with precision measuring instruments;
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
- Adaptable to changing job requirements and evolving technology;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining challenges.
