About GoBolt
Our Mission:
At GoBolt, we provide a technology-driven, customer-centric and sustainable approach to ecommerce and last-mile logistics for businesses of all sizes – from local brands to large national retailers. By operating as an extension of our customer's team, we deliver best-in-class services every step of the way.
We're building North America's largest electric vehicle fleet to help bring sustainability to an industry notorious for its heavy impact on the environment. We are in high growth mode and building for the future, which is where you come in
We aren't looking for someone to just "pull data." We are looking for a Data Detective. As a Senior Data Analyst at GoBolt, you will be the guardian of our "Source of Truth." You'll dive into the messy details of our operations and logistics data, using dbt and SQL to transform it into elegant models, and Python to bridge gaps in our data ingestion. You are someone who sees a discrepancy in a dashboard and can't rest until you've found the root cause in the pipeline.
Salary range: $90k-$120k
This role is required to work 3 days in office per week (Queen & John St.)
GoBolt confirms that this is a posting for an existing vacancy.
What You'll Do
- Investigative Analysis: Act as a proactive partner to the business. Don't just answer the "what"—perform deep-dives to explain the "why" behind operational trends and KPI fluctuations.
- Data Craftsmanship (dbt): Own and evolve our dbt project. You will design, develop, and maintain modular, version-controlled data transformations and ensure our dimensional modeling (Star Schema) is scalable.
- Dashboard Ownership: Ensure our core dashboards (Looker/Metabase) are high-performing, groomed, and intuitive. You'll ruthlessly eliminate conflicting metrics to maintain high trust in our data.
- Technical Scripting: Use Python to build and maintain API integrations and scripts that automate data ingestion or perform complex analyses that SQL alone can't handle.
- Data Integrity & Governance: Monitor our platform for anomalies. You'll be responsible for identifying bugs, cleaning data, and implementing documentation that ensures every stakeholder knows exactly where their data comes from.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in Data Analytics, ideally within a high-growth or logistics-heavy environment.
- The "Deep-Dive" Mindset: You have a naturally curious mind and a healthy skepticism of "clean" data. You enjoy troubleshooting complex logic and finding the "needle in the haystack."
- Technical Stack:
- SQL Expert: Advanced querying, window functions, and performance optimization.
- dbt Specialist: You understand the dbt lifecycle (models, tests, snapshots) and have experience with version control (Git).
- Python Proficiency: Comfortable writing scripts for API data extraction and utilizing libraries like Pandas for data manipulation.
- BI tools Power User: Experience building complex, user-friendly layers in tools like Looker (Must have familiarity with LookML).
- Communication: Ability to translate technical data architecture into business value for non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points For
- Logistics DNA: Prior experience with supply chain data (last-mile delivery, warehousing, or inventory management).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with GCP (BigQuery) or AWS (Redshift/S3).
- Data Modelling Expertise: Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and how they apply to operational workflows.
