Job summary Scotland’s resource‑efficiency and circular‑economy expert, Zero Waste Scotland, is looking for a Design Officer to be an integral part of our busy in‑house design studio. We’re looking for a designer that can bring creative ideas and solutions to join a team that’s helping to communicate the benefits of adopting more sustainable ways of living and doing business.
Qualifications
Relevant further education, professional qualification or experience.
Experience of design‑led projects within a creative agency or an in‑house creative team.
Proven computer literacy in key software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.
Experience of working across a wide variety of creative projects.
What you’ll be doing
You will work alongside a Design Consultant and Design Officer to deliver a range of informative communication content relating to Zero Waste Scotland’s varied work area.
This will include content such as infographics, reports, animations, videos and social media content that communicates our message, promotes our services and supports behaviour‑change campaigns.
You will respond to a varied range of design briefs and requests from across the organisation, ranging from designing technical reports for publication, turning new and complex concepts into easy‑to‑understand infographics, to translating this work into content for our social channels.
