Job Description We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join our vertical sales team within Experian's Sales and Marketing division. Reporting to a Sales Director within our Strategic Financial Services team, you will be an integral member of the sales team and provide proactive, tailored operational support to our clients and sales colleagues. You will help identify inefficiencies and recurring challenges, promote improvements, and drive solutions both independently and in collaboration with colleagues across Experian. If you excel in a collaborative environment, are passionate about operational excellence, and want to make a tangible impact on client experience while contributing meaningfully to the success of our sales team, this role is ideal for you.
Responsibilities
Act as a trusted contact for client queries, ensuring professional responses within agreed timelines. Source and consolidate information to resolve client issues and create value for both our clients and Experian. Support onboarding, delivery, and migration activities to provide a seamless client experience. Build strong relationships that enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, reports, contracts, and client‑facing presentations using tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce (including CPQ), and Oracle Sales Insight. Coordinate and facilitate meetings, calls and follow‑ups. Be the go‑to contact for insights into challenges or process improvements that could benefit the sales team and enhance sales workflows.
Facilitate and manage communication between sales and central functions (e.g., marketing, product, and customer support). Align client needs with internal delivery teams, track resolutions, and actively participate in client meetings.
Monitor and report on sales performance KPIs, providing actionable insights and contributing to the development of client account plans and support vertical‑specific strategies.
Qualifications
Experience working with or alongside sales teams, with an understanding of the responsibilities, pressures, and workflows of roles such as Account Managers, Business Development, and Sales Specialists.
Proficiency in platforms such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Oracle Sales Insight (or similar tools).
Customer‑centric mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
Ability to tailor communication style to suit different audiences, both internally and externally.
Experience identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
Experience managing stakeholder expectations and prioritising effectively.
Ability to interpret sales data and provide meaningful insights.
Benefits Package
Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office.
Great compensation package including discretionary bonus.
Core benefits, including pension, Bupa healthcare, Sharesave Scheme and more.
25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can purchase additional annual leave.
