Overview

Rockridge Excavation & Demolition Inc. is seeking a highly organized, experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil construction, excavation, or demolition. This role oversees projects from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to spec. The ideal candidate is dependable, sharp with scheduling, confident on-site, and able to keep multiple moving parts under control without dropping the ball.

Duties

• Lead and manage excavation and civil projects from planning through completion
• Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Oversee daily site operations and ensure all safety and quality standards are met
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, crews, and directors
• Manage documentation, RFIs, change orders, and project reports
• Conduct site inspections, solve problems quickly, and keep work on track
• Support estimating, procurement, budgeting, and project logistics
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Skills

• 5+ years of project management experience in excavation, civil construction, or related fields
• Strong understanding of blueprints, scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of project documentation, cost tracking, and contract administration
• Understanding of safety protocols, site logistics, and regulatory requirements
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Asset: familiarity with project management or construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, scheduling tools)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
