JOB OVERVIEW

As a Maintenance Technician at Harbour City Kitchens, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing production equipment to ensure minimal downtime. This role requires technical expertise in machinery, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, along with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
· Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery to reduce downtime.

· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

· Work with suppliers and contractors when necessary for repairs and equipment servicing.

· Monitor equipment for performance issues and potential hazards.

· Ensure all safety protocols and maintenance procedures are followed.

· Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment.

· Train other team members on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.

· Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

· Collaborate with the production team to support operational needs.

· Keep the maintenance area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

· Assist with projects related to process improvements and equipment upgrades.

Additional Information:

· You will work alongside two other maintenance /production team members.

Qualifications & Skills
· Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related role or certification.

· Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Forklift and scissor lift experience (preferred).

· Working knowledge of CMMS software is an asset.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
