Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at McLaughlin Meats at our Olds location. (must available for shifts 9:30 am - 6:30 pm Tuesday-Sunday) Hours vary from 30-40 hours per week. *Must be available to work during the Christmas and New Years weeks*

Retail Associate Will have a passion for customer service and sales, with excellent communication skills and a flair for upselling. If you enjoy engaging with customers and have a great attitude, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience.
• Assist customers in finding products that meet their needs
• Serve customers at our fresh meat counter
• Answer the phone and take orders
• Operate our cash registers, general cash handling
• Cleaning and organizing of the store on a hourly basis
• Stay up-to-date on all store products and cuts of meat
• Restocking and facing the products regularly

Please Note - This is a fast paced work environment with repetitive lifting. You must be physically able to work on your feet all shift, walking on cement floors, lifting and dealing with a cold environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers

• Prior experience in customer service, sales, or retail is an asset

• Ability to upsell products and maximize sales opportunities- Fluency in English is required
