Job Summary
Provide direction and leadership for the financial operations of the company or a large segment of the company's activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Four years business/accounting degree with advanced degree or CPA preferred or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA preferred

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management required.
  • Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, State, and local requirements regarding financial records and benefit compliance
  • Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in planning the objectives, methods and resources of short and long range financial operations of the company.
  • Direct and coordinate the accounting, budgeting and other financial operations of assigned area. Includes providing administrative and technical supervision to staff personnel.
  • Recommend policies and procedures relating to financial and business practices of the company.
  • Monitor the financial operations of the company or assigned area to insure compliance with budgets.
  • Oversee the preparation of required Federal and State financial and payroll reports as well as financial and related reports to the President and/or Corporate Executives.
  • Direct in service training and development of staff.
  • Functions as management link between staff and corporate accounting.
  • This position is required to travel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
