This role focuses on structuring data, performing deep gap analysis, optimizing workflows, and delivering high-impact reporting that will guide the development of future software solutions. The ideal candidate brings a data science mindset, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to convert complex contract data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Review, Data Abstraction & Facility Contract Analysis
- Extract, validate, and structure key terms, KPIs, service expectations, and risk elements from facility, maintenance, and service contracts.
- Conduct detailed gap analysis to identify missing clauses, unclear standards, incomplete data points, or untracked performance measures.
- Ensure consistency and completeness of contract data across all campuses and service categories.
Data Ownership, Advanced Reporting & Analytics
- Own and enhance contract-related datasets, Excel models, databases, and reporting tools.
- Build advanced analytical structures using nested formulas, Power Query, macros, automation logic, and data modeling techniques.
- Develop dashboards that highlight vendor performance, compliance gaps, cost trends, expirations, and opportunities for savings.
- Perform recurring data-driven gap analysis to uncover missing KPIs or inconsistent reporting inputs.
- Use analytical and data science practices for normalization, pattern detection, predictive insights, and anomaly identification.
Problem Solving, Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and inconsistencies in workflows, processes, and reporting requirements.
- Lead current-state vs. future-state gap analysis to expose deficiencies in data, process design, and system readiness.
- Design solutions that improve contract visibility, reporting accuracy, and cross-campus alignment.
- Contribute data logic, validation rules, and structural recommendations that support future software automation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as a reliable resource for campus leaders, facilities teams, and vendors.
- Gather missing information, resolve documentation gaps, and clarify expectations uncovered through analysis.
- Present complex findings, discrepancies, and insights in a clear, practical format for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure stakeholders understand the use, purpose, and outputs of reports and dashboards.
AI-Enabled Data Analysis & Automation
- Use AI tools to accelerate contract review, detect inconsistencies, and validate extracted information.
- Explore AI-based approaches for automated gap detection, data validation, anomaly spotting, and report generation.
- Implement AI-supported methods that reduce manual effort while improving accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in contract management, data analytics, operations, or process improvement.
- Advanced Excel and data capabilities (Power Query, pivot tables, macros, dashboards, complex logic).
- Proven ability to create reports, models, or dashboards from scratch.
- Strong communicator, comfortable working with leaders, facilities stakeholders, and vendors.
- Resourceful, analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail.
Attributes for Success
- Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused.
- Views gaps, missing data, and unclear processes as opportunities to innovate.
- Committed to high standards of data quality and reporting integrity.
- Thrives in environments where processes are analyzed, refined, and scaled.
- Driven to help build scalable analytical frameworks and contribute to future software development.
