Senior Technical Project Manager

About the role
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will make an impact by leading complex software development initiatives and driving technical excellence across teams. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Define and implement technical strategies and architectural direction for product development.
• Provide hands-on guidance for complex technical challenges, ensuring adherence to coding, testing, and documentation standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage technical teams, overseeing resource allocation, task prioritization, and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with product managers and project teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and project plans.
• Identify technical risks and devise mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Irving, Texas. What you need to have to be considered

• 15+ years of experience in application development and project management.
• Proven experience managing projects involving Java and ForgeRock technologies.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring technical teams and managing delivery schedules.
• Ability to define technical strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including UX/UI, QA, and DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk, Grafana, OpenSearch, and Elastic Kibana.

These will help you stand out

• At least 2+ years of experience in the Telecom domain.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Experience in promoting best practices, conducting code reviews, and driving process enhancements.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
