Strategic, meticulous and merciless team of young, industrious and intelligent legal professionals are seeking a new team member for their expanding nationwide, catastrophic litigation practice involving high value trucking and products liability docket for a firm covering multiple states that was founded in 2004 in Louisiana and has grown each year thereafter.
Must be a high energy, thoughtful and intelligent hard-worker that cares about their job and understands the importance of helping the severely injured and disabled.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the litigation department, managing and overseeing litigation plans for cases by implementing the litigation strategies from the trial attorney by following the litigation plans from the Mitratech/Advologix case management system that is paired with iManage document management system.
This is a permanent position that requires extensive experience as both a Litigation Manager and a past work history as a paralegal or attorney.
Objectives:
Objectives include reducing intake to trial time resulting from working with litigation teams to complete trial plans and budgets, confirming proper calendaring of all docket control orders & statutes of limitation, creating systems to continuously move discovery along in the process, verifying mediation & trial dates are set, ensuring sufficient completion of checklists across all litigation files as well as compliance with litigation SOPs through audits, recurring reporting, & periodic meetings with the team. You will also be in charge of creating and implementing new processes to improve the flow of the litigation department as well as helping to recruit, train, manage, onboard, and lead A+ players in litigation support.
- Oversee the litigation department and ensure that all litigation-related tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage and oversee litigation plans for cases, including developing strategies, timelines, budgets, and resources needed.
- Oversee the litigation department to ensure cases are on track and everything will be kept on track according to the litigation plan
- Case intake, assessment, evaluation and opening to setup all cases for litigation workflow
- Utilize Advologix case management software to manage and track cases, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded and accessible to team members.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to ensure that all aspects of litigation are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Reporting to executive team on litigation and case progress
Qualifications:
- At least 4+ years of experience in a litigation management role, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and support staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to develop effective litigation plans.
- Experience with Advologix case management software or equivalent.
- 5+ years of trial experience
- Experience with a Case Management Program
- 3+ years of project management and implementation experience
- Understanding of setting up users, profiles and roles, and configuring reports and dashboards in the Salesforce platform
- Experience with case data entry and intake
- Ability to work as part of a multi-faceted team to solve client-related inquiries and problems
- Start-up qualities: self-starter, autonomous, driven, motivated, and hungry
- Experience as a technical and/or functional Case Management, CRM, Database architect is a plus
- Successful history of interdepartmental coordination for case transitions and SOP implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams through influence while also functioning as an individual contributor/team member

- Plaintiff's Personal Injury Litigation Management: 4 years (Preferred)
- Plaintiff's Personal Injury Paralegal: 4 years (Preferred)
- Attending Trial With Attorney: 1 year (Preferred)
