We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using essential kitchen equipment—specifically the fryer and griddle (or flattop grill)—and will have solid basic knife skills for efficient food preparation. This role requires someone who can work well under pressure, follow detailed instructions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooking & Equipment Operation:
  • Operate the fryer and griddle (flattop grill) with precision to ensure food is cooked evenly and safely.
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Food Preparation:
  • Execute proper knife skills to cut, chop, and prepare ingredients for service.
  • Assist in food prep tasks such as portioning ingredients and assembling ingredients for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Quality & Consistency:
  • Ensure every dish meets quality, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process and adjust techniques as needed.
  • Sanitation & Cleanliness:
  • Keep workstations and kitchen equipment clean, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Follow proper cleaning protocols for equipment and work areas at the end of each shift.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow.
  • Accept and execute directions from the head chef or kitchen manager with attention to detail.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Assist with inventory checks and food storage management.
  • Contribute ideas for menu improvements and seasonal specials when appropriate.
  • Maintain an organized kitchen environment during peak hours and during downtime.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Proficiency in operating fryers, griddles, and other essential kitchen equipment.
  • Basic knife skills and ability to perform common food preparation tasks.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
