Host/Server Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Server Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests and supporting the serving staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a keen eye for detail, and experience in food service settings. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage waitlist or reservations efficiently
• Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and delivering food as needed
• Support food preparation and presentation to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces
• Assist with setup and breakdown of banquet or special event spaces
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper handling of food items
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to meet guest needs
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
• Print and Maintain Menus for Service
• Assist in nightly closing duties such as cleaning and maintaining bathrooms and entry way

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and food safety standards
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with banquet service, bussing, or kitchen support is advantageous
• Hospitality or hotel experience is beneficial but not required
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
