HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help create safe, comfortable environments for occupants while supporting property maintenance operations. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct field service work involving plumbing, appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, and general property maintenance tasks.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to troubleshoot electrical components and mechanical systems efficiently.
• Repair or replace HVAC components such as compressors, fans, filters, thermostats, ductwork, and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to track maintenance activities and system performance.
• Assist with the installation of new HVAC equipment following safety protocols and industry standards while adhering to schematics and technical specifications.
• Support emergency repairs or system shutdowns promptly to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
• Operate a driver vehicle safely for on-site visits or equipment transport as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving welding, boiler maintenance, or ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance backgrounds.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), plumbing, appliance repair, and equipment repair.
• Ability to read schematics accurately and understand HVAC design principles for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical issues within HVAC systems.
• Mechanical experience including welding skills and boiler maintenance is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of field service procedures with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines.

Pay: $110, $120,000.00 per year
