Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to support efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This position works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support daily operations as well as new product launches.

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving real-world manufacturing challenges, improving processes, and partnering closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for assembly, fabrication, and system integration
  • Partner with design engineers to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
  • Create, maintain, and improve work instructions, assembly documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN, 5S, and Kaizen activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to quality, efficiency, tooling, and workflow
  • Analyze production data and perform root cause analysis to reduce waste, rework, and downtime
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, and increase throughput
  • Design and improve tools, fixtures, and jigs to support efficient and repeatable production
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts to ensure smooth and scalable production launches
  • Provide technical support and hands-on training to assembly and production teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role (equipment or machinery manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and assembly techniques
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing documentation
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on, team-first mindset with the ability to work directly on the production floor
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with metal fabrication and equipment assembly
  • Exposure to PLCs, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems
  • Experience supporting a product line through its full lifecycle in a manufacturing environment
