Work Model: This role is 100% on-site.

Compensation: $100,000/annual (negotiable)

Job Summary:

The General Manager (GM) will assume primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Bandwagon Interiors. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with a background in assembly or fabrication who can lead operations, build teams, establish scalable processes, and set a strong company culture in a PE-backed environment.

The GM will partner with the PE ownership group and the founder to execute growth initiatives, improve operational performance, and build a leadership structure capable of supporting scale.

About Us:

Bandwagon Interiors designs and manufactures specialty touring RVs for the music industry. Our vehicles serve as premium mobile homes and creative spaces for touring artists, combining custom craftsmanship with durability for life on the road. Bandwagon Interiors operates in a niche market with a strong reputation among music industry clients.

The company was recently acquired by a private equity firm and is entering a new phase of growth and operational maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Manufacturing Leadership

  • Lead all daily operations including manufacturing, assembly, production scheduling, quality, and safety
  • Oversee production planning to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and efficient use of labor and materials
  • Improve and standardize manufacturing processes, workflows, and systems to support growth, improve efficiency and take corrective actions.
  • Implement operational metrics and reporting aligned with PE ownership expectations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing operations and production team
  • Hire, train, and retain skilled technicians, supervisors, and support staff
  • Establish a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback

Strategic Execution & Growth

  • Execute operational initiatives to support growth, capacity expansion, and margin improvement
  • Align production capabilities with demand from rental and sales channels
  • Support long-term strategic planning while maintaining product quality and customization
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost optimization

Qualifications:

Required

  • 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or similar operational environments
  • Proven track record of leading teams in a production setting
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, scheduling, and quality control
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively on the shop floor
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience in PE-backed companies or working with financial sponsors
  • Background in custom manufacturing, RVs, automotive, marine, or specialty vehicle builds
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, KPI-driven management, and continuous improvement
  • Experience transitioning leadership from a founder or owner-led organization
