Accounting Manager

CR&R Incorporated is seeking an
Accounting Manager
to oversee core transactional accounting functions and lead a team responsible for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. This role is hands-on, compliance-driven, and highly visible, supporting accurate financial reporting and operational decision-making across a multi-state organization.

Salary Starting from $115k + based on experience
What You Will Do
Technical Accounting

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Oversee payroll accounting, including payroll journal entries, tax compliance, and required SUI documentation
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, including billing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for leadership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, tax, and internal control requirements

Management & Leadership

• Lead and supervise accounting and payroll staff, setting expectations and ensuring accountability
• Partner with internal departments to provide financial insight and operational support
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and reviews
• Support Senior Accountants and the Controller during annual audit activities

Pay Rate: $115k + based on experience

Qualifications
What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and payroll management experience
• Demonstrated experience with GL, payroll, AR, and AP functions
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and payroll tax requirements
• High ethical standards with strong organizational and decision-making skills
