Region VII Area Agency on Aging/Sunrise PACE is accepting applications for a highly motivated Compliance Assistant. BRIEF SUMMARY OF PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Sunrise PACE Quality and Compliance Manager, the Compliance Assistant supports Sunrise PACE by ensuring the company is adhering to legal and regulatory requirements through administrative support, recordkeeping and routine monitoring. This includes maintaining compliance files, assisting with audits, gathering data for reports, and updating policies and procedures. The position will also help with identifying non-compliant processes and may assistant with compliance training.
RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
- Provide general administrative support to the Quality and Compliance Manager.
- Organize and maintain all compliance-related records, documents, and files.
- Assist with conducting routine compliance audits, reviews, and monitoring activities.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance related risks by analyzing company operations and procedures.
- Help prepare reports by gathering data and providing information to senior staff.
- Assist in updating and implementing company policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
- Research current legislation and compliance regulations to help keep the company informed of changes.
- Contribute to internal education and training on compliance matters as necessary.
- Assist in gathering information and coordinating activities for compliance claims or investigations.
- Work independently and as an effective member of a team.
- Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff, other programs, agencies, members, providers and the general public.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Prepare concise and clear reports.
- Effectively use computer to process appropriate data and information and prepare reports.
- Contributing member of the quality and compliance team tasked with duties related to quality as well as compliance.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High School Graduate or GED required. Bachelor's degree in relevant field, preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in healthcare.
- High ethical standards, integrity and discretion
- Good time management skills, ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Possess a collaborative approach and have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with the team.
