Cook

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will prep and assist with serving of meals to our residents. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals in a safe and timely manner.

Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to planned menus
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Set up dining areas and ensure they are clean and organized
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth meal service
- Adhere to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs of residents
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies, notifying supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Cook or in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food service principles, including meal preparation, food handling, and food safety
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Basic cooking skills, including knife handling and cooking techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
