Content Writer

The Content Writer supports Fello's mission by creating compelling written content that tells authentic stories and celebrates inclusion, choice, and opportunity. This role develops clear, engaging narratives that highlight the people and communities Fello supports across multiple platforms-including web content, newsletters, donor communications, and marketing materials. Working closely with stakeholders throughout the organization, the Content Writer helps bring Fello's brand and values to life through thoughtful storytelling and mission-driven messaging.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three years of professional writing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats and audiences. They have excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail, and familiarity with AP style. Understanding of person-first and identity-first language, inclusive storytelling principles, and accessibility best practices are required. Experience writing for nonprofit organizations or mission-driven work is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and juggle competing priorities, along with a collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills, are critical for success in this role.

This position requires a High School Diploma and a minimum of three years of professional writing experience. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field is preferred.
