Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operations and balancing tills at shift end
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock items
• Uphold health and safety regulations related to food industry standards and café operations

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage customization options
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform serving duties confidently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
• Experience in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or retail math is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that enhances team collaboration
