Tax Manager for Wise Foods

Location: This role is based in Dallas, TX with Hybrid work location.

Arca Continental USA( parent company for Wise Foods)  is seeking a Tax Manager that ensures U.S. Snacks and Vending businesses meet all federal, state, and local tax obligations in full compliance with applicable laws, while optimizing efficiency and minimizing risk. This role safeguards the company's financial integrity by preventing regulatory exposure, avoiding penalties, and aligning tax outcomes with overall business objectives.

By coordinating with controllers, finance teams, and external advisors, the Tax Manager provides critical oversight and direction to tax-related processes, enabling leadership to make informed decisions. The role also plays a key part in supporting mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integration, ensuring that tax risks are mitigated and synergies are captured during corporate transactions. This role ensures that tax compliance not only protects the business but also contributes to profitable growth and long-term competitiveness.

Areas of Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance Management - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax obligations for the U.S. Snacks and Vending businesses to safeguard the company's financial and legal standing.

  • Prepare (internally and/or with third-party support), review, and file timely and accurate federal, state, and local tax returns (income, franchise, sales & use, excise, property, and payroll).
  • Coordinate with controllers and finance teams to gather and validate tax data.
  • Oversee estimated tax payments and extensions to ensure proper cash planning.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar to track all filing deadlines and obligations.
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities, including audits and notices, to resolve matters effectively and minimize exposure.

Tax Provision (ASC Manage the preparation of tax provisions and reporting to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with US GAAP.

  • Calculate (internally and/or with third-party support), quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare and review deferred tax balances and assess uncertain tax positions.
  • Ensure proper documentation to support tax disclosures in the financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to provide required schedules, explanations, and reconciliations.

Tax Planning & Optimization - Provide strategic tax planning and risk management to optimize the company's tax position and support sustainable business growth.

  • Identify opportunities for credits, deductions, and incentives that reduce tax liabilities.
  • Recommend efficient structures for transactions and contracts to achieve tax optimization.
