Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 days remote).

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant is responsible for validating technical solutions through comprehensive testing to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with business and technical requirements. This role involves planning, executing, documenting, and reporting on testing activities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while working closely with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and user interface testing to identify defects and ensure system stability
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Maintain end-to-end SDLC traceability between requirements, designs, test cases, and system components
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and recommend solutions to technical issues
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated testing scripts, including oversight of test deployment
  • Participate in defect triage sessions, retesting, and validation of defect resolutions
  • Conduct negative testing, usability testing, and reliability testing of applications
  • Create and maintain QA documentation, metrics, and status reports
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, gaps, and open issues clearly to development and project teams
  • Adhere to established testing governance standards, policies, and best practices, recommending improvements as appropriate
  • Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and governance requirements

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance):

  • Minimum of
    5 years
    of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
  • Minimum of
    5 years
    of experience developing and executing test cases within test management systems
  • Minimum of
    3 years
    of in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations and business processes, preferably Medicaid
  • Minimum of
    3 years
    of hands-on experience with formal test design tools and testing platforms, including manual and/or automated tools such as
    Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence

Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance):

  • 5+ years
    of experience supporting large enterprise or e-business systems
  • 3+ years
    of experience working within a standard SDLC, including both
    Waterfall
    and
    Agile
    methodologies
  • Prior experience supporting healthcare operations, specifically Medicaid programs

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field
  • Relevant professional experience may be substituted for formal education

Certification Requirements:

  • Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized organizations are
    preferred
