maintenance technician

SOUTHERN WAY REALTY, a full-scale real estate brokerage with an emphasis in property management seeks an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our TEAM

Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 Hour Off for Lunch (40 Hours/Week)

$18/Hour

• Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays at 90 Days

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conducts general maintenance on residential rental properties.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs all household appliances, including dishwashers, garbage disposals, stoves/ovens (gas and electric), refrigerators, and washers/dryers.
• Performs electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Handles carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Does yardwork, including tree/shrub maintenance, mowing, weed-eating and clean-up.
• Moves heavy appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washer/dryer) into and out of rental properties as needed.
• Maintains accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations during all tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely & effectively;
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from work;
• Must be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical outlets, ceiling fans, light switches and household appliances (dishwashers, microwaves, gas & electric stoves & ovens, refrigerators, washers/dryers, etc.);
• Plumbing & HVAC experience preferred;
• Must have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Must be able to work alone and as part of a TEAM;
• Must have excellent communication skills, physical stamina, and be able to lift heavy objects when necessary.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
