The Role: What You'll Actually Do

Do people say "They've never met a stranger" about you? Do you love seeing things from idea to execution to results? If so, today might be your lucky day.

This role is equal parts relationship builder and project manager, with Marketing know-how sprinkled on top. You'll be the go-to source of truth for our clients, guiding conversations, communicating strategy, and ensuring clients are thrilled with the results we help them achieve.

This position is fundamentally about client relationships. You'll be the face of One Foot Over to your clients, anticipating their needs, responding with solutions, and ensuring not a single detail falls through the cracks.

Core Responsibilities

Own Client Relationships

Act as the day-to-day contact for 6-8 clients. You'll know their businesses as well as if you worked there, and talk about their Marketing plans like they're as familiar as your own life story.

Be the Strategic Partner

Understand various businesses and industries deeply enough to contribute to Marketing strategies that increase leads. You should be able to "tell the story" to the client with your eyes closed, thinking on your feet, and handling the most difficult client questions and situations.

Project Management Excellence

Maintain an extreme level of detail in managing projects and determining priorities. Work with copywriters, designers, developers, and other team members to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.

Bridge Clients and Team

Be a liaison between clients and the One Foot Over founders, managing expectations on both sides and bringing comprehensive solutions, not just problems.

Data-Informed Recommendations

Understand data well enough to develop, suggest, and measure recommendations for Marketing strategies and activities.

Contribute to Execution

Review client work (copywriting, design, reporting) and provide constructive feedback to the team to ensure only bullet-proof work is delivered to the client.

Stay Accountable

Track all work and time in our project management system.

What You Must Have (Non-Negotiables)Experience

  • 5 years working directly with clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven success managing high-value client relationships ($150K+ projects) from onboarding through completion or successful transition
  • Track record of building trust and confidence with clients and internal teams

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Marketing tools and technology, including social media, CMS, CRM, and analytics tools (HubSpot experience preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of Marketing best practices and current trends
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (email, calendars, document sharing), Slack, and project management tools
  • Comfort with time tracking systems

Personal Attributes

  • Extreme attention to detail. Nothing slips through the cracks
  • Strong, professional communication skills (you'll be working with decision-makers and agency owners)
  • Ability to lead client meetings independently and handle difficult situations with confidence
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and initiative
  • High level of organization and ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Resourceful problem-solver (Google-first mentality)

What Would Make You Stand Out (Strongly Preferred)

  • Experience at a Marketing agency managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Background in both client services and hands-on Marketing execution
  • Proven ability to grow client relationships and identify expansion opportunities
  • Experience mentoring team members on client management best practices
