About Us
We are a growing, small-batch food business expanding into larger-scale production and distribution. Quality, food safety, and consistency are non-negotiable as we grow. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Production Line Worker with experience in food manufacturing who understands the importance of following food safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
Position Overview
The Production Line Worker supports daily food production operations by preparing, handling, assembling, and packaging food products in accordance with HACCP plans, USDA/FDA regulations, and company food safety standards. This role requires hands-on experience in food production, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform food production tasks including prep, assembly, portioning, and packaging
- Follow all HACCP plans, food safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Handle food safely at all times, including proper temperature control, storage, and labeling
- Maintain compliance with USDA and FDA rules and regulations
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and production areas according to SOPs
- Assist with batch tracking, labeling, and basic production documentation as needed
- Identify and report any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or deviations from procedures
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production goals
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, or commercial kitchen environments
- Working knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with USDA and FDA regulations for food handling and manufacturing
- Understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines consistently
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in small-batch or growing food production facilities
- Prior work in facilities preparing food for distribution or wholesale
- Food Safety Certification (ServSafe or similar)
- Experience with labeling, lot codes, or production logs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in refrigerated or warm production environments
